Installation for Carpet to Skirting Dirt Seal
Product Length. 1.5 metres. Colour. Cristal Clear. Shown coloured for clarety
There are 2 ways to install the dirt seal.
1.Fix the carpet fixing strip in place, ( please find 2 spaces provided,
2.these are the correct gap size) the gap between the skirting
3. and the top edge of the carpet fixing strip is 10mm.
4. This is the smallest gap allowed, Place the small angled upright
of the plastic extrusion into the gap and against the angled
. part of the carpet fixing strip, press down, the carpet dirt strip
. will grip against the skirting. (Mitre at corners with scissors as required). 4.It is now ready for the carpet to be installed.
2.Place the carpet to skirting dirt strip against the skirting board, (Mitre at corners with scissors as required). Press up against it with a length of carpet fixing strip (they are the same lengths) nail and fix in place.
3.Note: It is strongly suggested that you wear protective gloves when fixing the carpet fixing strip.
